quatix 3 features a protective stainless steel EXO bezel and buttons that are not only good looking, but functional. They house a built-in, high-sensitivity GPS and GLONASS antenna. quatix 3 also has a unique sunlight-visible, high-resolution colour Garmin Chroma Display™ with LED backlight, which lets you access your data in any light. It is water-ratedto 100 meters and has a battery life up to 20 hours in GPS mode, 50 hours in UltraTrac™ battery saver mode and 6 weeks in watch mode (depending on settings).

Preloaded With Marine Features

More than just a watch, it’s a wearable instrument that streams NMEA 2000® data from compatible fixed-mount Garmin electronics. With a quick glance, you can check your speed, water depth, temperature, wind data and more. You also have access to up-to-date tide data downloaded for your area to quatix 3 through your smartphone. There’s also a standalone Man Overboard (MOB) button that allows the wearer to quickly save a location if a crew member goes overboard, so you can navigate right back to the site. It’s preloaded with a wide selection of marine-themed watch faces you can choose to make a statement about your nautical interests.

Fish Inland With quatix 3

You can load routes and waypoints into quatix 3 smartwatch. GPS and GLONASS navigation on your wrist allows you to find a hot spot, mark the waypoint and navigate right back to that spot in the future. quatix 3 also automatically captures your track and, if needed, can guide you right back to your starting location. So even if you don’t have a chartplotter on your boat, you can find your way around your favourite fishing spots. In addition, you can use Sight ‘N Go navigation. Pick a point in the distance you want to navigate to, set quatix 3, and it will keep you on course. This is especially helpful for kayakers and canoeists. It also has a solar/lunar fishing and hunting calendar so you’ll know the optimum time to fish. But quatix 3 isn’t just for inshore fishing.

Fish Offshore With quatix 3

Saltwater fishermen looking for big sportfish will enjoy the special features available to them with quatix 3. In addition to its navigational features and standalone MOB, quatix 3 also lets you stream and view NMEA 2000 data, such as depth, speed, water temperature and more, right on your wrist, wherever you are on the boat. The built-in barometer monitors barometric pressure to help you detect changing weather conditions, and you can download the most up-to-date tide tables for your area through your smartphone.

Cruise With quatix 3

With a quatix 3 smartwatch on your wrist, you can enjoy more control, situational awareness and confidence wherever you are on deck of your boat. NMEA 2000 data can be wirelessly streamed to quatix 3 from your Garmin chartplotter. This allows you to view NMEA 2000 data, such as wind speed and direction, water depth and more, right on your wrist, wherever you are on the boat. There’s also an anchor watch that monitors anchor drift and alerts you if your boat begins to drift. It includes an alarm clock and anchor rode calculator to tell you the proper length of anchor line to put out with adjustable scope ratio. It is also an excellent backup navigation system if something happens to your onboard electrical system.

Sail With quatix 3

If you race, now you have access to important sail racing data on your wrist beyond just time. The virtual starting line feature lets you set up a starting line between 2 marked GPS waypoints, e.g., a buoy and the committee boat. Your quatix 3 will then compute the distance and time between you and that starting line, which you can check with a glance to your wrist. Then, quatix 3 combines the virtual starting line location with a built-in countdown timer to calculate distance to the line as well as desired speed and burn time available. The countdown timer, with its large, easy-to-read digits, helps you skipper the vessel to hit the start line at maximum speed at the exact start time. Once the race is underway, tack assist mode lets you know whether your vessel is getting headed or lifted based on the optimal tack angle provided. Using tack assist can help you enjoy a more efficient and controlled sailing experience.

Remote Control Your Entertainment

This amazing watch even features remote capabilities. Download a free app from the Connect IQ™ store and you can actually control your FUSION stereo from anywhere onboard — right from your wrist. You can adjust volume, change tracks and more; however, it does require a 2014 or newer GPSMAP® chartplotter to be connected through FUSION-Link to the FUSION stereo. You can also remotely control both the music from your phone and your VIRB® XE action camera.

Altimeter, Barometer and Compass

quatix 3 is equipped with ABC sensors to provide relevant real-time information. The built-in altimeter provides elevation data to accurately monitor ascent and descent, while the barometer can be used to predict weather changes by showing short-term trends in air pressure. The 3-axis electronic compass keeps your bearing whether you’re moving or not.

quatix 3 auto-calibrates its ABC sensors using its GPS receiver and also auto sets the time based on location. For an extremely accurate temperature reading, pair it with our tempe™ external temperature sensor.

Enjoy Activities on Land and Water

A quatix 3 watch isn’t just for boating. Its paddleboat functions allow you to track strokes and cadence and create an efficiency score. It also provides surfing tides and customizable activity features. On land, it becomes a multisport watch for running, hiking, swimming and more. It even has an activity tracking feature that counts steps taken, estimates calories burned and stairs climbed. When the day is done, it will track your sleep, monitoring your total sleep and periods of movement or restful sleep.

Advanced Fitness Metrics

quatix 3 is packed with training features to tell you about your form and fitness. The first is the VO2 max estimator. When used with a heart rate monitor², quatix 3 crunches data, including your running speed, beats per minute and heart rate variability to estimate the maximum volume of oxygen you can consume per minute. Track changes to your VO2 max to see your fitness gains and to compare with your peers. Other fitness metrics include recovery advisor with a recovery timer and recovery check, plus a Race Predictor, which estimates your ideal finish time based on your current VO2 max number.

Running Dynamics Features

quatix 3 incorporates sophisticated Garmin running watch feedback on your running form by reporting multiple metrics. When used with the HRM-Run monitor², quatix 3 reports your cadence, vertical oscillation and ground contact time. These metrics are called running dynamics, and they affect your running economy.
